The BRIT Awards 2019 (UTV, 8pm) 

This year, comedian Jack Whitehall hosts the ceremony live from London’s O2. There’ll be performances from Little Mix, Calvin Harris, Sam Smith, Dua Lipa and George Ezra, and we’ll find out which nominees are going to be taking some awards home. 

 Strictly Business (RTÉ One, 7.30pm) 

Sonya Lennon heads to the Aran Islands to help Jenny and David O’Halloran to take their new seaweed food products from the shores to retail shelves. 

Inside Ireland’s Biggest Prison (Virgin Media One, 9pm)

The documentary series continues tonight, offering viewers another inside look at life inside the Midlands prison. This episode focuses on the issue of violence within the prison system, examining some of the dramatic events that have occurred in recent years. In light of this, Ger Manley, the chief of security, reveals how he maintains safety and security on his watch. 

Everybody’s talking about… The first trailer for the new Michael Jackson documentary, Leaving Neverland. 

On Wednesday the 6th of March, the documentary will air, with testimony from the men who allege they were abused by Michael Jackson. Last night HBO finally released the first trailer, which some viewers may find upsetting.  

Everybody’s also talking about… The actress who played Heather Trott in Eastenders begging RTÉ for a role on Fair City.

Cheryl Ferguson (who you’ll definitely remember from her days in Eastenders) is a huge fan of Fair City, apparently. She visited the set of Carrigstown in RTÉ’s studios and pleaded with the broadcasters for a spot on the show, even if they decide to kill her off in six month’s time. Really strange, but then again, considering how close we’re getting to Brexit, she might just be looking for some secure work in the EU.

• Kirstie and Phil’s Love It or List It (Channel 4, 8pm) Four years after first meeting them on the show, Kirstie Allsop and Phil Spencer catch up with a couple to see what’s happened to their home since they last met. 
• Live: Schalke v Manchester City (Virgin Media Sport, 7pm) Man City head to Gelsenkirchen to take on Schalke in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last 16 tie. 
• Pure (Channel 4, 10pm) After hitting rock bottom, Marnie and Charlie try to pick themselves up. 
• Marian Keyes’ Watermelon (Virgin Media Three, 9pm) Lighthearted drama set in Dublin. Follows the troubles besetting a young couple when the pregnant woman’s boyfriend discovers that his beloved is carrying another man’s baby. 
• Neven’s Irish Seafood Trails (RTÉ One, 8.30pm) In the final episode, Neven Maguire visits Live Irish Shellfish in Donegal to learn how crab and lobster are prepared to be exported live.
